We will begin with the Acclaim which can be designed many different ways: with a durable plastic shell back and seat pan; rich, wood backs, wood seat pans and wood decorative end panels, PP polypropylene or wood arms, no arms or arms that lift and down; and ergonomic cushions. This seat is very popular in worship sanctuaries. The Acclaim is available in five widths, armrest to armrest, 20 inches to 24 inches. You can feel that support from
your back to your bottom. The Acclaim chair is a very practical model for a church. It has such good support and is stylish and economical. Installation is very simple. Before shipping, the parts are separate and are assembled upon arrival to the church. The installer can assembly and install the seat quickly which will save you a lot of installation cost and time making maintenance super easy. Preferred’s worship seating can come with a plastic seat pan and back and we never receive a complaint about the plastic shell because they are really durable. Furthermore, if you want to replace the seat cushion you don’t have to tear the entire chair apart. You only need to separate the cushion from the pan and replace the cushion. The Acclaim is a very practical church model because it is designed to share components. As an example, if an armrest is damaged it is easily removed and replaced.
Some worship venue designers may fall in love with the Acclaim while others may have a preference for a grander design. Our next worship seat model, the Laville, is definitely designed for this. The is a blend of traditional styling and contemporary design consolidated with dynamic aesthetics in a modern worship environment. The market trend of today’s church has changed from quietly sitting in pews to having more of a performance atmosphere with singing and dancing to encourage the congregation’s engagement. The Acclaim is definitely designed to catch this excitement in worship. We have heard comments such as they could feel their entire body being caressed by the cushion while at the same time feeling a generous sitting space. The Laville has generous spacing and also great lumbar support which provides optimal seating comfort. The gravity return requires no maintenance because the seat pan will automatically lift up to its proper position when the patron stands up. We never receive a complaint about a plastic part needing replacing because of it’s durability and requiring no daily cleaning. Customers in the United States have been switching for years from
the original pew system to a brand-new modern sitting arrangement, auditorium seating. We had a client wanting to upgrade from the traditional view to a more contemporary ambience for their worship sanctuary. We studied some customization which would allow for a larger space while maintaining the modern design. The client had a strong preference for the Laville
design which gave an upgrade to the worship experience.
One of our more popular church designs is the Ultima chair with multifunction plastic. For a more traditional look we can dress the seat up with wood backs, wood seat pans, wood arms and wood decorative end panels. The Ultima is a perfect choice for sacred worship spaces with the choice of rich wood elements and or fabric covered seats and backs. For example the
arm is built with wood resting on an aluminum structure which gives a combination of elegance and durability at the same time. The lumbar support can be felt in the spine relieving the discomfort of sitting long periods of time. The elegance of this design provides a luxurious feel, allowing the congregation more comfort while sitting. The seat pan uplifts slowly and
elegantly glides up with a mechanism that is absolutely silent. Not only does the Ultima have elegant features but also provides high functionality. On the seat back you can place a hymnal book holder and or a communion cup and card holder depending on the church’s requirements.
